White Tea Health Benefits

White Tea Health Benefits

Though studies are inconclusive, the white tea health benefits seem to be greater than any other teas. White teas are made of leaves and unopened buds and are the least processed.

The white tea making process is started by picking the tightly rolled buds of the camellia sinensis plant. The leaves are immediately fired or steamed after letting them wither for a period of time. They do not go through any oxidation. As a result, white teas contain the highest level of antioxidants of any tea variety.
The Benefits

With a higher level of antioxidants compared to to green tea, white tea has proven to have greater cancer-fighting ability. White tea is known to boost the immune system and can help to fight viruses and infection-causing bacteria.

Studies have also demonstratedd that white tea is fluoride-rich and can prevent the growth of dental plaque, the chief cause of tooth decay. The polyphenols in white tea have also been shown to lower cholesterol, reduce blood pressure and fight fatigue.

White tea also contains much less caffeine per cup than green, oolong, or black tea. If consumed properly, white tea can relieve stress as well.

Varieties of White Tea

Silver tip white tea:

It is a top grade white tea. The buds are plucked when they are ready to open. The long and needle-shaped buds are covered with silvery hairs. When infusing, every bud stands in the cup upright just like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.

White peony tea:

This is also known as ‘Pai Mu Dan‘ and is made from the buds and leaves that remain after the famous silver tip white tea has been harvested. It is sweet and mild.

Longevity eyebrow:

The production method for longevity eyebrow is similar to white peony tea. There are 3-4 leaves in one bud instead of 1-2 leaves. Since the bud is slim and curves like an eyebrow, it is called longevity eyebrow.

Benefits of green tea

Benefits of green tea

Green tea has more health benefits compared to other Chinese teas like oolong and black tea, all of which come from the plant Camellia sinensis. What makes green tea different is the process by which it is made. Green tea owes much of its health benefits to how the Camellia sinensis leaves are steamed. The steam process keeps the EGCG health benefit of green tea from oxidizing. With oolong and black teas, however, the leaves are fermented instead of being steamed, thus causing the EGCG health benefit to transform into another less medicinally potent form.

Aside from medicinal value, green tea can also offer other health benefits, especially in the fitness field. Drinking green tea can cause a person to burn down more calories. A recent study on the health benefits of green tea shows that the drink can help dieters. According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 1999, men who take both caffeine and green tea burn down more calories than men who only take caffeine or a placebo.

Another health benefit of green tea is its bacteria-destroying properties. The health benefit of green tea in this area is that it can help prevent food poisoning and also prevent tooth decay. The substances found in green tea kill the bacteria causing food poisoning and those that cause dental plaque to form.

Well known for its countless medicinal and health benefits, green tea is nothing short of a miracle.

Choosing the Perfect Prom Dress

Choosing the perfect prom dress can be a fun, rewarding process. Looking through magazines for the latest fashions is a great way to start. Flip through magazines at home with your friends, or make a trip to the bookstore. There are many fashion and prom-related magazines out there, and they will give you an idea of what styles you like. You want to be comfortable with what you are wearing on your special night, so look for styles that match your preferences and personality.

Choosing the Perfect Prom Dress

Romantic Styles:

If you are the romantic type who falls for the Greek Goddess look, consider all white, empire style gowns. Also, think fairytale-inspired dresses in rose or pink shades. Consider curling your hair and wearing it down, and placing a delicate, intricate pin in your hair. You can also look like an angel in a flowing dress with one-shoulder.

Sophisticated Styles:

If you are sophisticated and love all black prom dresses, go for it. Accessorize with big, crystal earrings with a splash of red. Also, look for black dresses with sequins, or black dresses with bright, attention-grabbing sashes. They are fun, flirty, and daring.

Victorian Style:

If you loved to play dress up as a child, you may favor the Victorian style. Victorians tend to favor the layers of tulle and lace that come with the beautiful full ball gowns. Look for vintage lace, in pinks and yellows. Victorian style dresses are also fitting if you have a narrow waist and a womanly-lower body.

Sweet and Simple:

If you love the simplicity of fashion, a simple, strapless chiffon gown would be perfect for you. It’s flirty because you can show off your shoulders, and it’s also elegant and classy. You do not have to worry about beads, sequins or fancy designs with this style. Since a simple chiffon gown is, for a lack of better words–simple, feel free to get your hair styled in an up-do and wear flirty, fun heels.

Sexy Dresses:

If you have a great figure and want a sexy look, go straight for the straight–straight gowns that is. Silky, slinky and soft fabrics will look fabulous on you. These fabrics will show off your figure and show the latest of trends. Look for a combination of other fabrics and unique cuts that will help you achieve a sexy prom dress look.

Colors:

Prom dresses come in every color imaginable. Remember to look for colors that you like, not what everyone else is wearing. This year should be easy because there is an abundance of colors to choose from. Bright yellow and black, orange, emerald green and purple have made big come backs this year.

Semi Formal Dresses

Semi Formal Dresses

The best thing about wearing semi formal dresses is that you can use them in just about any type of occasion. Semi formal dresses or attires can be used while attending to a meeting at work or even in the most solemn receptions of a wedding. It may be just a formal skirt along with a plain top, or a petite-looking cocktail dress. The possibilities of mixing and matching your clothes are endless with semi formal wear.

Often likened to the “dress down policy” that was introduced a few years back, wearing comfortable dresses had allowed a lot of men and women to feel very much comfortable in what they wear. This is regardless of the occasion and the theme of the event. A lot of dress boutiques have slowly incorporated the designs of dresses in their own products. Women love the freedom brought about by these dresses, as it allows them to choose just about any length of dress or pair any skirt with an acceptable top. The material used for such designs are also unlimited, allowing women to enjoy using the likes of denim and cotton when selecting their dresses.

While there are also semi formal attires made with high quality fabric such as silk and chiffon, women who prefer simpler wardrobes can simply select the more common types of fabric. Another advantage of wearing a semi formal dress is the versatility of the dress. Aside from being able to wear it anywhere and at any time, this is perfect for those events when you are not exactly sure what to wear. Instead of deciding whether to wear something formal or something casual, the idea of these dresses allows you to fuse formality and casualness in a stunning design. You won’t have to feel overdressed for the occasion, and at the same time not worry about being underdressed.
